We were having a great trip traveling from Oklahoma to the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Parks, when experiencing a transmission problem with our motorhome just outside of Missoula. Needless to say, a problem with a motorhome is not something one plans for, let alone wants, when traveling over 1,500 miles away from home. Emergency repairs can become quite a challenge insofar as finding competent help. When one does find a great RV repair shop, I believe the RV community should know about it.

Our RV limped into Missoula for a stay at the KOA campground on a Sunday. Yes, it seems that problems like this always happen on Sundays. I called Good Sam's Roadside Assistance and can report they try to help, but when it comes to an RV transmission problem, they are at a loss. The campground was helpful in providing a list of RV repair shops around the Missoula area. Through a process of elimination, we were able to find a transmission shop called Transolution. We called and left a message regarding our situation. First thing Monday morning we received a call from Transolutions' shop manager. He was very helpful over the phone, and with the information he provided, I felt very comfortable that they would be able to diagnose our RV's transmission problem and complete the repair.

What impressed me so much about this repair shop was their ability to schedule us in so quickly, and give us first class service all the while. It was obvious the shop was extremely busy, but they still put us in front of the line understanding our situation.

Transolution Auto Care was able to pull the RV's error codes, determine what the transmission problem was, and source the issue for the repair. In addition to repairing the transmission, as a courtesy they also performed a preventative maintenance inspection to check other systems in the motorhome. As it turned out, this was a blessing, as they also found a component that was hanging on by a loose bolt. If this component would have fallen off, there would have been no way to shut off the engine, as well as no acceleration. The technicians found other issues as well, but it was determined that they were not critical, and could wait until we got home from our trip. This is impressive in the fact that their shop only performed the immediate safety issues, and did not take advantage of our situation.

After the repairs to the motorhome, we continued on our trip, having no issues, and were thankful to have found Transolution!

I would recommend Transolution Auto Care to anyone that is close to Missoula and experiencing an RV problem. You will not be sorry, and like us, will have the peace-of-mind knowing the work will be done right the first time.
