I came to Transolution after attempting, for a month, to fix a very specific problem in my 2003 Acura RSX Type S. I had little faith in other auto repair shops around Missoula because the error code I was receiving is typically an engine-killer. I had thought the car jumped a tooth on the timing chain. I could not verify that this happened, nor could I could not remove the timing chain tensioner view plate. I drove it to Transolution, fearing the worst. I had other transmission shops quote me over $2000 for my hypothetical, worst-case scenarios. I told Transolution to take their time, as I absolutely love my car and knew it was in a vulnerable state. They looked at it for three weeks, eventually confirming my hypothesis. The car ran great when I took it in, but I was getting a P0341 error code from the ECU, making it very difficult to detect any issue whatsoever. I had swapped sensors already, and then took it to Transolution knowing that it was a difficult error to correct, let alone detect. When they confirmed that the timing chain had skipped, and the tensioner was shot, I was rather upset. Transolution told me that I had multiple financing options, and that I had caught the issue before any valve damage had occurred. I asked what the overall health of my vehicle was. I was told the car was worth fixing as the engine was still strong, and the car was in fantastic condition. I also mentioned a few extraneous items that needed to be repaired. Transolution confirmed that they could add those repairs, no problem, and with no time extension needed. I left Transolution with a vehicle that is performing better than ever, and it has 216K miles on it. The service was fantastic, the mechanics extremely knowledgeable, and totally understanding of my situation. Transolution saved my engine and my car!
